HOUSTON, February 16, 2024 - Parents for Improved Public Education (PIPEline) and Spring Branch Families PAC today announced the endorsement of Matt Cone for Spring Branch ISD Trustee Position 3. 

Matt is a dedicated advocate for our schools and the future of our children. His platform is dedicated to:

- Fighting Recapture so funds generated by SBISD stay in our district

- Requiring accountability and fairness by ensuring that board positions remain at-large (to represent all students) and that the board is held accountable by its voting community 

- Exemplifying servant leadership that reflect the values of the community, such as advocating for the reinstatement of block scheduling for Stratford High School

- Preparing and being vigilant towards educational excellence while placing safety first in a rapidly evolving educational climate

"Matt is a product of SBISD schools and has an unwavering commitment towards Every Child, as evidenced by his advocacy efforts in Austin last legislative session," explains PIPEline and Spring Branch Families Board Member Mary Chamberlain. "His position concerning our current At-Large electoral system remains steadfast, unlike other candidates. We have tremendous faith in his candidacy and look forward to him representing the interests of all students and families in SBISD."

HOUSTON, January 8, 2024 - We are thrilled to announce our endorsement of John Perez at PIPEline and Spring Branch Families PAC. He is a dedicated advocate for our schools and the future of our children.

We have seen John at work, and during a period requiring tough decisions, John demonstrated his ability to make them:

- Tireless warrior for increased education funding in Austin 

- Advocated for classroom neutrality and appropriate learning materials 

- Implemented effective locker room policies 

- Championed literacy policies based on the science of reading 

While some may prefer to maintain the status quo, we cannot overlook the shortcomings of our current representatives. The need for change is evident, and the time for action is now. We are confident that John will bring the same unwavering passion to his fight in Austin as he does when championing for the children of SBISD. John Perez represents a new path forward - a path towards a brighter future for our state and our children.

We plan to fully support John Perez for a better future for our kids and state.
